The table saw manages to make some airborne dust, since I do not have overhead dust collection. Marv made a nice system for his table saw. My lathe makes the most debris and when sanding a turning, the most dust. I mounted the air cleaner about the lathe. With the dust collection and air filter/cleaner on, I am not noticing airborne dust when ...
Thanks. I checked out Wynn before posting here. It appears that their largest diameter filter is 17" give or take. My diameter is closer to 22". Plus the canisters that have the paddle dust "cleaner" inside seems that a good asset. The Wynn filters don't offer that. I'm just trying to do research to make the best choice.
A very large dust cloud? I must be missing something.... When I use my leaf blower on my filter, I get very little dust outside of the fine dust collection bag. The only dust that comes out is through the DC inlet. If I cap it, I get no dust. …
Unforturnately, your delta (650 cfm) is a one use, drag around unit. If you really want to get an overwhelming amount of info regarding dust collection, and the minimums needed to do what you envision, you might want to check Bill Pentz's site. He has done a great deal of research regarding this.

Dust collector, small roll around 13 gallon (usually 1hp), large roll around 30 gallon (usually 1-1/2 or 2hp) and large static (3hp+) dust collectors. My next step up was likely going to be the addition of a 13 gal 1hp dust collector that I can ...
If you go this route with a small 1 to 2 HP inexpensive dust collector and then add a canister filter and the dust deputy you are correct on your estimate of $600 to $700. Not counting shipping I have $635 invested in this setup.
The Jet canister had four (4) years to "season". A filter canister actually will become a better filter with age ("seasoning"), because the small fine particles will fill in the filter canister holes and keep them from being blown into the air outside the filter. I have emptied the sawdust collection container three (3) times since I have owned it.
