Brownells has sold (and I have applied) a fair amount of HiForce 44 soft solder to steel, including stainless. Yes, it can be made to work with the right technique and right flux to clean the steel. How else do double barreled shotguns get made from a monoblock, two tubes and two ribs, all of steel? Good luck, GJ
For example, when working with hydrochloric acids using 304 stainless steel is not recommended. Instead, using a 400 series stainless steel would be more acid-resistant. Strong Chlorides. 4 feet is probably an overkill. The building code in my area requires 30 inches for deck supports where the load is much greater. You don't need rebar or a tube, just pour Quikrete mix it with water in the hole while holding (or somehow supporting) the steel poles. In 10 - 15 minutes the concrete will set enough so you can remove the supports.
Steel will bend a lot before it will break. My mother had a set that was probably 3" schedule 40 pipe. Set into the ground no more than 3 feet, in concrete. Fifty or 60 years later, they were indeed tilted some, and surprisingly, I think bent a little too. You really want to sink the concrete as deep as possible. Four feet sounds reasonable.

A few years ago, it seemed that "the verdict was in" regarding what cement to use for a full-coverage crown restoration on a primary tooth. Before 2010, the only full-coverage, preformed crowns available were either stainless steel or pre-veneered stainless steel crowns. Glass-ionomer cements were the most common choice for cementing them.
Steel is a metal alloy with iron as its main component and carbon as its primary alloying element. If carbon makes up anywhere from 0.05% to a little above 2% of the total weight of steel, the iron is stronger and more …
The water-to-cement ratio is a crucial factor that affects the strength and durability of concrete. Too much water can weaken the mix, while too little can make it difficult to work with. The …

The exception is the Metals table, since there is seldom much variation in weight between different batches of the same metal I have given the weight per cubic metre reasonably accurately. Weights in lbs/ft 3 have been calculated at 1/16 kg/m 3 and rounded out to the nearest pound, which should be accurate enough for roleplaying purposes.
An acid will attack Portland cement. CLR cleaner for bathroom mineral deposits is acidic (pH of around 2.5), where the stuff has a thickening agent that will help it stick to the underside of a surface like that.
